The funeral of J. C. Bailey, aged 58 years, who died suddenly at his home at St. Bride's Norfolk county, Va., Monday morning at 11:30 o'clock, will be conducted at the family residence this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Mr. Bailey had been agent for Norfolk Southern railroad at St. Brides twenty-five years. He was a member of one of the local churches and was one of the best known citizens of that section of Norfolk county. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Matilda Holt Bailey, and four daughters, Mrs. L. E. Valentine, Mrs. E. T. Lassiter, Mrs. Benjamin Harrison and Miss Helen Bailey, and one sister, Miss Carrie Bailey, all of Norfolk county.

The funeral of Joseph Corprew Bailey took place Wednesday at 3 p. m. at his home in St. Brides, Norfolk county, conducted by Rev. J. E. White pastor of Hickory M. E. church, and was largely attended. Among the many floral tributes was a "Gates Ajar" from the Sunday school. The pall-bearers were L. P. Ives, J. A. Roberts, C. R. Wood, W. B. Ranborn, R. R. Randolph, J. A. Charlton, W. C. Sawyer and M. W. Sykes.
