OTTUMWA-Eleanor M. Pilcher, 73, of 808 W. Third St., died at 2 a.m. April 6, 2015 at her home.

She was born August 25, 1941 in Ottumwa to Benjamin and Rose Clarkson Jessop. She married Donald L. Pilcher on January 1, 1969.

A resident of Ottumwa all of her life, Eleanor had retired from O’Hara Hardware.

She was a member of East End Pentecostal Church of God.

Surviving is her husband, Don; two sisters, Juanita Kain and Connie (Floyd) Brackett both of Ottumwa; four nieces, Rhonda (Rick) Lathrop, Michelle (Chris) McElroy; Maelynn Morrow and Dianne Kain; four nephews, Duane Cowger, Brian Martin, Darren Martin and Adam Martin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Junior Jessop and a sister, Margaret Cowger.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor David Parramore officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East End Pentecostal Church of God.
