"Mrs. Addie M. Sprenkle -
Mrs. Addie Marie Sprenkle, 88, Waynesboro, died at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Waynesboro Hospital. She had been in failing health. She was born at Emmitsburg, daughter of Sanford and Sarah (Ferguson) Sease. The family moved to Zora when she was a young girl. She lived in Waynesboro with her daughter, Mrs. Hazel Mace, the last 16 1/2 years. Her husband, Amos M. Sprenkle, died in November 1945. She was a member of St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, Waynesboro, and the Sodality.
Surviving are three daughters: Miss Lulu Sprenkle, Harrisburg; Mrs. Charles R. Smith, Hagerstown, and Mrs. Hazel Mace, at home; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. She was the last of a family of 10 brothers and sisters.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at St Andrew's Church with Requiem Mass being celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Thomas Gralinski. Burial will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call from 7 until 9 p.m. Sunday at the Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro, and prayers will be recited at 8 o'clock."
