Aaron Jackson Basham, 76, of Vinton, passed away at his home, on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. God welcomed home a man who was loved by many. He was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed mind boggling puzzles.
Jack is the son of the late, Mary Sue Basham and Aaron Jennings Basham. He leaves behind his son, Mark Basham; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Basham; two granddaughters, Heather and Emily Basham; one step-grandson, Louis Morgan; niece, Carol Kelley; and several great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Basham and his brother, James “Don” Basham.
He was a kind and loving man who made those around him smile. He was loved and will be missed by many.
The visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel, 540-982-2221. The funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel with Rev. Jason Gault officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, Vinton.
