Vivian M. Frye-Schlosser, 65, of Chillicothe passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at her home in Chillicothe.
Vivian was born on March 27, 1951, in Springfield to Charles M. Cook and Vivian Mae Wainscott. She married Robert "Bob" D. Frye on December 17, 1987, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on October 10, 2012. She married Richard I. Schlosser on February 28, 2015, in Oaho, HI. He survives.
Also surviving are: two daughters, Kimberly D. (Mark) Poggi of Springfield and Lori D. (Howard) Durst of St. Cloud, FL; eight step-children, Michael (Theresa) Schlosser of Peoria, Anita (Rob) Robinson of Peoria, Alycia L. (Allen) Smith of Ft. Wayne, IN, Catherine S. (Keith) Buckingham of Germantown Hills, Cynthia L. Frye of Peoria, Robert D. Frye of Peoria, Melody M. (Jon) Heiderich of Kendall, WI, and John E. (Elaine) Frye of Peoria; and twenty-five grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Erin Marie Stevenson, Joshua Buckingham, Timothy Buckingham, Catherine Buckingham, Kurt Heiderich, Joe Heiderich, Clayton Heiderich, Nita Heiderich, Eric Frye, Nicole Frye, Jordan Frye, Connor Frye, Aaron Patterson, Brandon Patterson, Tiffany Durst, Isla May Durst, Tabetha Vailes, Brandy Potts, Kenneth Kilver, Phillip Kilver, John Kilver, Marc Robinson, Rebecca Schlosser, and Nathan Schlosser.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, three nephews, and one niece.
Vivian worked as a pediatric respiratory nurse at OSF through Accurate Home Care.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts, gardening in her yard, and especially her grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Vivian from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, June 13, 2016, at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Cremations rites will be accorded following. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
