2008 obituary. SOUTH PORTLAND - Curtis S. Keites, 66, passed away on Dec. 4, 2008. He was born in Portland on Sept 13, 1942, the son of Leslie and Josephine Keites. He was a graduate of Portland High School, Class of 1961. He was a 1965 graduate of St. Francis Xavier University and attended the University of Connecticut. He was a volunteer advisor for students in Junior Achievement and an adult advisor to the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO). Mr. Keites was employed by the Travelers Insurance Co. in Hartford, Conn. and also with Union Mutual Life Insurance Co. He later became self employed with his wife Donna at The Loving Spoonful Restaurant in Gray. Visiting hours will be 4-7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 7 at the Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 8 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Portland.
