Mrs. Beaird was born January 1, 1923 in Warren, Ark. and was the daughter of the late Fred Price and Maggie Elizabeth Randall Goforth. She married Miller Kenneth Beaird on July 24, 1945 and worked as a telephone operator at Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph until the mid 1950 s. While living in Natchez in the early 1970 s, she worked as a seamstress sewing reproduction draperies and curtains for several ante-bellum homes. She was also talented at restoring dolls and creating costumes for the dolls from just a picture. Mrs. Beaird had a wonderful sense of humor and was a generous person who had a loving, kind, and very forgiving heart. Her church membership was at Broadmoor Baptist Church.
Mrs. Beaird is preceded in death by her husband, Miller Kenneth Beaird; siblings, Ora Wilburn Goforth, Paul Millard Goforth, Pauline Mildred Goforth Ingold, Alton Sterling Goforth, Freddie Lee Goforth, and Marsalette Rachel Goforth Cecil; nephew, Donald Wayne Goforth; and great-nephew, Michael Wayne Stephens.
Mrs. Beaird is survived by her son, Phillip Paul Beaird (Wanda); daughter, Mary Beaird McNair; grandson, Christian Shane McNair (Stacey); great grandson, Ricky Slade; great granddaughter, Courtney Slade; nieces, Antoinette Goforth Boswell, Jacquelyn Goforth, Paula Ingold Flynn, Suzanne Cecil Stephens, Katherine Cecil Seely, and Louise Cecil Rudman; 14 grand-nephews and nieces; and several great-grand-nephews and nieces.
