“Eddie” Scherdin, 77, formerly of Crockett, passed away June 5, 2016 in Sugarland. Eddie was born February 16, 1939 in Wharton to William C. and Ora Mae Ferril Scherdin. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Lovelady. Eddie was a retired welder, retired Corrections Officer with TDCJ, and after retiring for the second time, went to work for Wal Mart in the Lawn/Garden Center and as a greeter. Among all of this, Eddie was an avid Gulf Coast fisherman and had belonged to the Gulf Coast Coastal Conservation Association.
He is preceded in death by wife, Mary Evelyn Hixson Scherdin; daughter, Linda Wynne; grandson, Jack Wynne, Jr. and; parents, William and Ora Mae Scherdin.
