James T. Askew, 58, of 171 Avenue A was found dead this morning in the Hotel Warren, South Deerfield, where he was employed.

He was born in Scitico, Conn., June 13, 1892, the son of Miles and Susan (Robertson) Askew. He married the former Anna Milefski Nov. 18, 1919. A veteran of World War I, he served on the Mexican border with Cook 104th regiment, 26th infantry division.

Survivors include his widow of 171 Avenue A and a brother Earl, of Brockton.

Funeral arrangements are being made by the McCarthy funeral home.
