Bernice "Peddie" Neeley, 70, went home to be with her Heavenly father on Wednesday morning. Peddie was a firm believer in God and today she now rests with Jesus in her new beautiful Heavenly home. She was my best friend and someone I could trust with my life. Our friendship goes back over 53 yrs. and I know with no doubt she is finally at peace.
She was born May 6, 1946 to Geneva Earlywine Corn and William Griggs in Connersville, Fayette, Indiana. After many years she was adopted by her step Dad, Clesley Corn, who along with her Mom helped raise her. (She often joked about how many people we knew who were adopted in their 60s.) She graduated from Connersville High School in May, 1964. She attended Ivy Tech in Indianapolis and received a degree in Accounting. Due to health issues she had to retire early. She married Sherman "Willias" Neeley in October, 1964 and they later were divorced/remarried/divorced again in 2000 but the love was still there. He passed in Jan, 2016.
Left to mourn her and rejoice for her in her new Heavenly home are her Dad, Clesley Corn, Florida, two daughters, Missy Lynn and Shannon DeAnne, two Grandsons Kyle Jacob and Waylon and a Great Granddaughter and two brothers Gary and Terry Corn. Several nieces, nephews and friends. Also left to mourn her is her friend of over 53 yrs., Agnes Ervine Wilcher. She was preceded in death by her Mother and a sister "Sis" Corn.
Peddie was cremated and her ashes will be given to her family.
There will be a memorial service for Peddie on July 2, 2016 at 2:00p.m. in Riley Park, Greenfield, Hancock, Indiana. Everyone invited.
