After her family had moved from Vermont to Locke, Cayuga, New York in 1811, Lois married in ~1817 Chauncey Trumbull, son of Luther and Margaret (Huxley) Trumbull and settled in Groton, Tompkins, New York; their children were Nelson Trumbull b. 1818, Homer Trumbull b. 1820, Loyal Trumbull b. 1820, Mathilda Trumbull b. 1822, Melissa Trumbull b. 1824, and Chauncey Trumbull b. 1830.
The Trumbull family moved to Cook County, Illinois in about 1844 and appeared in the 1850 US Census in Ridgeville, Cook, Illinois as neighbors of brother-in-law and sister Ebenezer and Lucy (Goodrich) Bennett, and by the early 1860s the Trumbull family had returned to Groton, where Lois (Goodrich) Trumbull died 27 Oct 1868.
