Dennis M. Corbitt, 83, of Great Falls passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at his home.
At his request no services are being planned. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.
Dennis was born in Dickson, Tennessee to Dennis B and Eva (Moore) Corbitt on December 22, 1929. After the death of his mother from child birth he was raised by his grandmother. At the age of 17 he entered the US Air Force and retired with 23 years of active service. While in the Air Force he met his wife Marie and they had six children. Their oldest child Anita passed away shortly after she was born.
After retiring from the Air Force he worked for Cascade Coach and later the YMCA as a boiler tech.
Dennis loved Western movies and music, tinkering around the house, and was an avid gardener.
He is survived by his brother, Steve (Patty) Corbitt of TN; his children Debbie, John, and David of Great Falls, Jimmy and Dennis of St. Ignatius; a niece Lisa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Marie; daughter Anita; grandson Joey Corbitt and daughter-in-law Linda Corbitt.
