He was married to Betty Rene Turner on January 18, 1942. She preceded him in death on August 3, 2011. He was a cement Mason in California.
Survivors include four sons, Elvis Allen and wife Rebecca Sue of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Charles Ray Allen and wife Louise of Bentley, Oklahoma, Lonnie Dale Allen and wife Gwen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and David Allen and wife Susan of Moundhouse, Nevada, eleven
grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren, five brothers, Levi Allen, Thomas Allen, Joseph Allen, Albert Allen and Miles Allen, all of Washington, three sisters, Nancy Burris, Nola Hays and Esther Dutton all of Washington, also several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Tinnie Allen, wife Betty Rene Allen, infant daughters Laverne Allen and Jaunite Allen, infant granddaughters Judy Allen and Holly Allen and brothers Lenard Allen and Billy White.
Services Saturday, June 11, 1016 at 10:00 a.m. at the New Hope Baptist Church of Bentley, Oklahoma. Active pallbearers are David Allen, Brice Allen, Wayne Allen, Charles Allen Sr., Eddie Miller and Levi Allen. Services are under the direction of Atoka Funeral Home, 1264 W. Liberty Road, Atoka, Oklahoma.
