She leaves behind to mourn, her husband of 26 years, Jerry Allman, Jr. She will also be sadly missed by her children, whom she dedicated herself to: daughter, Melissa Cutlip of Charleston, daughter and husband, Michelle & Robby Elswick, of Charleston, daughter and husband, Amanda and Jason Clendenin of Sissonville, daughter Abby Allman at home; sons, Christopher and Seth Allman, both at home; son-in-law Joseph Abshire of Charleston; granchildren Josh and Luke Young, Julie and Lilly Jean Clendenin; brothers David Clere of Beckley W.Va. and Danny Clere of Florida; sisters Mary Virginia Creathers of Cabin Creek, and Betty Keeney of Cabin Creek, W.Va.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
She was a dedicated nurse at Cedar Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for more than 10 years. She was a caring friend to all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday March 1, 2005 at the Salvation Army Church, Bigley and Mary Streets., Charleston, with Major Oliver Michels officiating. Entombment will follow at the Floral Hills Garden of Memories Mausoleum of Love, Pocatalico.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday February 28, 2005 at Fidler & Frame Funeral Home, Belle, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
