Waterford - Mildred B. Aguiar, 100, of Quaker Hill, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016, at the Mystic Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She was born April 17, 1916, in Norwich, the daughter of the late Alfred and Rose (Preveau) Blanchette.

Mildred had retired from Sears after many years as a salesperson.

She was the widow of Alvaro Aguiar.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Aguiar of Quaker Hill and Gary Aguiar of Virginia; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Wayne Augiar.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on Friday at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 10 Huntington St., New London. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Jefferson Ave., New London. There are no calling hours.
