Michael Dave MyersNovember 1, 1962 - June 4, 2016Michael Dave Myers, 53, Burlington, died on Friday, June 3, 2016, in a boating accident on the Neosho River in Burlington, Kansas.Mike was born on November 1, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Larry Edward and Nola Dee Graber Myers.Mike graduated from Canyon del Oro High School in Tucson, Arizona. He had a Construction Company in Pennsylvania, before moving to Burlington, in 1985. He graduated from Emporia State University and taught English Composition there for several years while working on his Master's degree. He owned and operated Myers Construction Company in Burlington. He was also a mechanic.He was a member and past officer of the Candytown Motorcycle Club in Hershey, PA. He loved Camaro's, Mustang's, and Motorcycles. He enjoyed hand gliding, rock climbing, fishing, especially in Erie Lake. He married Kay Denise Shaffer on May 28, 1988. They were later divorced. On December 1, 2007, she married Diani Skillman, in New Strawn, Kansas.He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Larry. He is survived by his wife, Diani, of the home, his sons, Daniel (Courtney) Myers, Clarksville, TN, and Zachary (Amanda) Myers, Topeka, KS, his daughter, Nevaeh Almo Myers, of the home, his sister, Kimberly Myers, Kansas City, MO, his brother, Nathan (Mary Rose) Myers, Elkton, MD, four grandchildren, Penelope Rose and Madeline Mae Myers, Clarksville, TN, Amara and Anson Lee Michael Myers, Topeka, KS, other relatives and friends.Services are 10:30 A.M., Thursday, June 9, 2016, at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, in Burlington. There will be a Rosary on Wednesday at 6:30 P.M., with visitation from 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Burlington.
