James Doyle Amerson passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 89. He was born on Saturday, April 30, 1927, in Lena, Mississippi to the late Clara Calcotte Amerson and Andrew Amerson.

James is survived by his brother-in-law, Leon Case. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Clara Calcotte Amerson and numerous siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1001 Western Avenue, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10:00 am.
