Gary also attended Hobart Welding Academy. He married Rebecca A. (Shoop) in 1974. They have remained married for 36 years. Gary was a wonderful husband and father to his three children, daughter Doedee and husband Chuck, deceased son Byron and wife Lourdes, and son Bradley and wife Abby. Gary has five grandsons, Dawsen, Dridin, Josiah, Isaiah, and unborn baby, Byron Elijah. He has two granddaughters, Korrah and Kynlee. Gary was a farmer and self-employed at G & G Welding in St. Paris for many years. He currently had a business, Tro Steel Works, with his sons. Gary was a member of Renewed Strength Church in Westville, Ohio. His heart and passion was in prison fellowship and community service. He was constantly encouraging and uplifting those in need. Gary gave his life for others. He spent his days telling others about his faith in Jesus. Gary will truly be missed by all who knew him. It gives us great joy and peace to know that he is in heaven with his Savior, Jesus Christ. Visitation will be held at Baird Funeral Home in Troy on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 12:00PM to 8:00PM. This will be a non-traditional gathering celebration of his life. Come with smiles, jeans, and your best Gary story.
