Emma Lyda Voth May died Monday, July 19, 1976 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, at the United Methodist Church in Hitchcock, Rev. Duane Roever, officiating. Burial was in Winnview Cemetery near Hitchcock with Landes Funeral Home, Okeene in charge of arrangements. Born in Childstown, South Dakota, she came to Oklahoma with her parents at an early age and in 1917 was united in marriage to Jesse L. May. They made their home in the Hitchcock Community. Her husband preceeded her in death in 1948. She was a member of the Hitchcock Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Christina Unruh, Watonga, two sons Vernon, Midwest City and Marvin, Enid; 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. One son David and two brothers proceeded her in death.
