The Kansas Daily Tribune of Lawrence, Kansas on August 12,1879 stated that Fannie was an "interesting and beautiful child" who died of an illness "last Saturday night at 11 o'clock" (August 8, 1879) and was buried on Sunday, August 9, 1879 in Oak Hill Cemetery. She was seven weeks old. It also states that she was buried next to their "darling Charlie M., or "Mackey"", who had died three years prior. She is listed in the family plot, #115, of C.F. Garrett. It is unknown if there is a headstone.
