The Glasgow native was born on November 10, 1924 to the late Ishmael
Hidden and Gertrude Wininger.
She is also preceded in death by her husband Willard Murray " Pete" Howell and brothers, McElvis, Rondel, Charles, Mike, Ernest, and Paul Wininger.
Mrs. Howell fostered 29 children and 45 exchanged students over the course of her life and was most recently a director at Kiddie World Day Care Center.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Eastern
Star, and also Eastwood Baptist Church for over 60 years.
She is survived by her children, David, Marilyn, sister, Ruth; five grandchildren, Hannah, Laura, Ronnie, Emily, and Natalie; five great-grandchildren, Hope, Noah, Lucas,Weston and Sawyer, four special
foster children, Oscar, Marie, Anna, and Glenda.
