29 Oct 2006: Henry Paul Brown, 86, Carlisle, formerly of Mechanicsburg, passed away Thursday at his residence. Born December 1, 1919, in East Prairie, MO, he was the son of the late Henry M. and Bessie Ditto Brown. Paul retired from White Motor Farm Equipment as Regional Sales Manager, where he was the representative in thirteen states. He was a graduate of St. Louis University and Brown Business School. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean War; member of West Shore Country Club for over 30 years; Mechanicsburg American Legion Post 109; and former member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg and Illinois VFW, where he served as a former Commander. Paul was a volunteer firefighter in Illinois and volunteered with Holy Spirit and Carlisle Hospitals. Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Jeannette R. Brown; son Jeffrey C. Brown and wife, Sandra of WY; daughter Barbara J. Leonard and husband, Barry of Carlisle; sister Hope Henry of MO; grandsons Steven C. Singiser, Jr., Jason P. Singiser and Keaton J. Brown; and great-grandchildren Cheyene, Dakota and Mackenzi Singiser. Memorial service Monday in Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. Interment with full military honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. [Harrisburg Patriot-News]
