Denny was the son of Beuhl Roach, and Louise Wilson. He and his wife, Karen, were the parents of three sons. Denny was a graduate of Seven Mile High School and Troy State University. He was a Captain in the United States Air Force and served for 20 years. At the time of his death, Denny was active in the DAV and VFW.
