Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth McKay Covington, 91, of Sanford, N.C. formerly of Greensboro, N.C., died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Liberty Commons of Lee County in Sanford, N.C.
Mrs. Covington was born on March 24, 1918, in Richmond County, N.C., to the late William Daniel McKay and Bessie McLean McKay. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred E. Covington; a son, Alfred E. Covington, Jr.; a brother, Grover McKay and two grandchildren, Kent C. Covington, and Gregory C. Covington
