Funeral Servies for Mar. Selma P. Fowser were held from the Lake Wilson United Methodist Church, Lake Wilson, Wenesday, September 2, at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Edwin O. Bissell officiated at the services and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Carlson, duet, and Mrs. Paul Harmsen, organist, provided special music.
Acting pall bearers were Leon Sierk, Paul Harmsen, Wayne Beers, Howard Ottilie, George Aga and Douglas Mihin. Interment was in the Hillside Cemetery, Lake Wilson.

Selma P. Peterson Fowser was born April 9, 1885 in Buena Vista County, Iowa, to Theodore and Mathilda Peterson. She grew to womanhood in Iowa and came with her family to near Avoca, Minnesota.
On September 4, 1907, she was united in marriage to Lloyd F. Fowser at Avoca. Following their marriage they lived at Avoca, Slayton and since 1919 at Lake Wilson. Her husband passed away in 1955.
Mrs. Fowser was a member of the Lake Wilson United Methodist Church and W. S. C. S. She was a charter member of the Eastern Star. Since June 2, 1970, she had been a resident of the Maple Lawn Nursing Home at Fulda, passing away there on August 30, 1970, at the age of 85 years.

She is survived by three children: Marshall Fowser of Lake Wilson; Mark Fowser of Corpus Christie, Texas; and Mrs. Burt (Gwendolyn) Landman of St. Paul (Minnesota). She had 14 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Richard Peterson of Alta, Iowa, and one sister, Mrs. Jane Calhoun of Laguna Hills, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, three brothers and one sister.
Hustad Funeral Home of Slayton was in charge of the arrangements.
