Bendell Bayles Harlan of Jourdanton passed away Thursday, November 17, 2005 at the age of 92. Mr. Harlan, a farmer-rancher, was born September 6, 1913 in Franklin. He is survived by his wife Daisy Harlan of Jourdanton; sons Benny Harlan and wife Brenda, Ralph Harlan and wife Norma and Horace Harlan and wife Rose all of Austin; daughters Sarah De Spain and husband Oran of Beeville and Loretta Masters and husband Richard of Taylor; sisters Lucy Wallace of Jourdanton and Juanita Allen of San Antonio. He also leaves behind 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation was held Sunday, November 20, 2005 from 3-8 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton. Services were held Monday, November 21, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home with interment following at Jourdanton City Cemetery in Jourdanton.
