Marilyn Kay Brooks Metzgar of Rio Medina passed away Monday, February 14, 2005 at the age of 55. Mrs. Metzgar, a homemaker, was born November 10, 1949 in San Antonio. She is survived by her mother Doris Brooks of San Antonio; husband, Bruce Metzgar of Rio Medina; daughter, Lisa Conger and husband Alex of Austin; sons, Scott Brister and wife Trudy of San Antonio, Jason Brister and wife Anita of Jourdanton, Todd Brister and wife Cecilia of Pleasanton, Wade Brister and wife Audrey of Leming, Ryan Brister and wife Rose of Temple and Justin Brister of Jourdanton; brother, Tommy Brooks and wife Joy of Jourdanton; sisters, Nanette Brooks of San Antonio and Jan Wimberley and husband Tommy of Liberty Hill. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren. Services will be Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 10 a.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton with interment following at the Jourdanton City Cemetery .
