HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Mattie Lou Nicholson, 104, of Duncan, Okla., died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, in Duncan.
Mrs. Nicholson was born May 2, 1895, in Arcadia, La. She was a homemaker, a Baptist and a member of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Leonard Nicholson, and two sons, Audie Nicholson and David Nicholson.
Survivors include one son, Albert Nicholson of Rowlett, Texas; three daughters, Novice Duncan of Avinger, Texas, Verna Morrison of Wills Point, Texas, and Juanita Hawkins of Post, Texas; three sisters, Rosie Whitaker and Ila Baker of Canton, Texas, and Bessie Pugh of Dallas; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Cave Springs Cemetery, Linden, Texas, with the Rev. Wilmer Biddy officiating. Burial will be under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
