I looked for the graves of Benjamin and his wife, Jennie, when I visited New Salem Cemetery and I did not find either one. They are buried there but either they never had grave stones or their stones are gone. I also did not find a grave marker for baby Joseph R. Balfour or for Benjamin's mother Elizabeth D. Edwards. She was alive in 1910 in Rayville, La.
