Elizabeth Galphin "Beth "Allen, formerly Beth Spratt, age 57, of Sandersville, died Saturday, May 28, 2016.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Sapp officiating. Friends will be received following the memorial service at the funeral home.

Beth was born in Charleston SC. She worked for the Washington County Board of Education as the Instruction Technology Coordinator. Beth was a gourmet cook and shared the love of cooking with her husband Charles. She was an avid lover of pets and was a literature aficionado. She was a member of MENSA, an IQ society by invitation.

Beth is predeceased by her brother, Robert L. Galphin III.

Survivors include: her husband, Charles M. Allen of Sandersville; children, Marshall Edward Spratt and his wife Stephanie Cleroux of Montreal Canada, Andrew Lee Spratt and his wife Keri Toggerson, William Robert Spratt, and Mason Elizabeth Spratt all of Atlanta, a step-daughter Cari Allen Thomason and her husband Johnathan of Manitou Springs CO.; a step-granddaughter, Hadden Thomason; her mother, Jacquelyn S. Decell of Wrightsville, her father, Robert L. Galphin Jr. MD and wife Linda of Columbia, SC.; siblings, Jaquelyn G. Mesco and her husband Gene of Flintstone, Mary G. Slakie and her husband Brian of Chattanooga, TN., Patrick M. Galphin and his wife Carrie of Memphis, TN., Melissa G. McEniry and her husband Kevin, of Memphis, TN., Jorene D. Golden and her husband Danny, Grady W. Decell and his wife Louellen, Jacques R. Decell, Doug Decell and Judson Decell all of Lexington SC., and Matthew A. Decell and his wife Robie of Sullivan's Island, SC.; aunts, Julie S. Frazier of Wrightsville and Beverly G. Clyde and her husband David of Houston, TX.; and her sister-in-law Gwendolyn A.
