Elaine Julia Ackerman was born August 12, 1914, in Hammel, Rockaway Beach, New York. She was the daughter of Isadore Ackerman and Emma Leffler. She was married in 1937, to Jerome "Curly" Howard of The Three Stooges. They were divorced in 1940. She was later married to Moses Diamond. She appeared as herself in "50 Years with The Three Stooges: The Funniest Guys in the World"(1983), "The Three Stooges Greatest Hits"(1997), "The Three Stooges Family Album"(1998), "The Three Stooges 75th Anniversary Special"(2003), and "Hey Moe! Hey Dad!"(2015). Elaine Diamond died at the Medical Center of North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, on May 10, 1986. She was 71. Through Mount Sinai Mortuary, she was buried May 13, 1986 at Mount Sinai Memorial Park, 5950 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, California.
