She was born Jan. 8, 1919 in Roanoke to Joseph and Elizabeth Gudeman Pfister. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Alvin, Lester and Harvey Pfister and five sisters, Ada, Leona, Ann and Dorothy Pfister and Irma Luginbuhl.
She is survived by one brother, Marvin (Ila) Pfister and two sisters, Mabelle Rauhaus and Pearl Miller.
Lois worked as a nanny for the Block family in Peoria and then as a cook at the LeTourneau company in Peoria. She later cared for her mother and siblings for many years.
Lois was a member of the Roanoke Apostolic Christian Church, where she had served as a Sunday school teacher. She also volunteered her time at the Eureka Hospital.
