Gussie was survived by four sons, Alfred Bishop of Asheville; Paul Bishop of Weaverville; B.E. Bishop of Leicester; and Gerald Bishop of Black Mountain; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral was held on Thursday, July 17, 1980, chapel of Williams Funeral Home.
