Edward O. Adams, III, age 67 of Loudon passed away, Friday October 23, 2009 at home surrounded by his family following a brief battle with cancer. Ed and wife, Ku became residents in Tellico Village, October of 2003 where they continued their life's adventures. Ed became an active and faithful member of the Tellico Village Community Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir and serving on numerous committees. Jumping right into the community, he also joined the Tellico Community Players, a drama group, the Cruising Club, and the Romeo golf league. Prior to retirement, Ed was educated at the University of Wisconsin Madison and received his Masters Degree from the University of Detroit. After 32 years of dedicated service, he retired as Manager, Process Leadership at Ford Automotive Operations. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward O. Adams, Jr. Surviving is his loving wife of 45 years, Kullike "Ku" Adams, Loudon; daughter, Erika Adams of Shelby Township Michigan; son and daughter in-law, Matthew and Cindy Adams of South Lyon, Michigan; grandchildren, Adam Nichol, Anna Nichol and Christian Adams; Mother, Naomi Adams of Monona, Wisconsin; sisters and brother in-law, Janet and Don Theobald, Kathy Adams, and Stephanie Sobczak, all of Madison, Wisconsin; father and mother in-law, Emil and Jenny Sikula; brother in-law and wife, Harry and Romelle Sikula, brother in-law, Eric Sikula; sister in-law and husband, Tina and Kim Arnett, all of Illinois; nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, Oct. 26, at the Tellico Village Community Church with Rev. Rhonda Blevins officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the following; the Choir or the Building Fund of the Tellico Village Community Church, 130 Chota Center, Loudon, TN 37774 or to Ed's engineering scholarship fund making the check payable to: UW Foundation/Detroit/Ed Adams Scholarship, c/o the University of Wisconsin Foundation Gifts Dept., P.O. Box 8860, Madison, WI 53708. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Church.
