Henry was a Constable and Overseer of the Poor. He was a wealthy man and a large land holder in Wyoming County, WV. Henry was also a cattle farmer and trader. He was a deputy under Sheriff James D. McGraw. He originally lived in a log cabin, and added onto it and improved it several times. It remained standing until 1960, when it was torn down by one of his descendants and a new home was built out of the salvaged material.
