Bart Lee Alsup, 51, of Watervliet passed away suddenly Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at his home.
Bart was born Jan. 13, 1965, in Berrien Springs, the son of Loren Alsup Sr. and Georgiana Morseau.
You would often see Bart riding his bike around town. He loved to fish, play horseshoes and chess and listen to music. Bart was a proud member of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.
Bart is survived by his six children: Brandi Alsup, Amanda Winfield, Bartlee Alsup, Malorie Alsup, Skylar (Samantha) Alsup and Dusty Alsup. He is also survived by his mother, Georgiana Morseau; a sister, Theresa S. Alsup; and two half-sisters, Missy Ferguson and Susie Keller; and many other family members; and friends.
Bart was preceded in death by a son, Christian Michael Cobb; his father, Loren; and a brother, Loren Jr.
The family will welcome friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 30, at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, where the service to honor his memory will commence at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 31. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery, Silver Creek Township. The family requests memorial donations in Bart’s name be made in care of Theresa Alsup.
