Mrs. Adams was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad during World War II. She was also a short-order cook at the Breakfast Shop, the College Grill and the Kozy Korner Restaurant.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Arthur L. Adams; 1 daughter, Joan Payne of Wilmington; 1 son, Thomas Peart of Wilmington; a stepdaughter, Kim Bradford of Clinton, ME; a stepson, Michael Adams of Palmyra, ME; 3 grandchildren, Robert and Ryan Huber and Anthony Jordan; 6 grandchildren in ME and 9 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 10 am Friday, December 29 at the CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 2506 Concord Pike, Sharpley, Wilmington. Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear. Friends may call at the funeral home 9-10 am Friday.
