Funeral services for Fred Ramey, 65, who lived west of Canadian, are scheduled at 2pm, Sunday in Mills Chapel.

Rev. Steve Jenks will officate. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mills Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ramey, a retired civil service worker, died Thursday in Veteran's Hospital at Muskogee.

He was a member of the Baptist Faith, member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and American Legion. He was a veteran of World War II.

Born June 7, 1913 in Farmersville, Texas, he and Goldie Decker were married February 1947 at Midwest City. He moved to this area some twelve years ago after retirement at Tinker Air Force base.

Survivors include his wife, Goldie of the home; three step-sons, Leon Yost of California, James Yost of Eufaula and Harvey Yost of California; three sisters, Mildred Bertolino of California, Peggy Dansby of Guymon and Elba Davidson, Lyndale, Texas; and a brother, J.C. Ramey of Gould.

Pallbearers will be V.F.W. members, Roy Lee Tate, Robert Thomas, T.J. Green, Billy Pogue, Jim Palmer and Ben Lake.

Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by the Army Reserve, Legion, DAV and VFW. (MillieBelle)
