Edna M. Trammell Norman, 87, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Monday morning, May 23rd, 2016 at her home.

Edna was born on March 28th, 1929 in Winfield, TN a daughter of the late Luster & Luvernie Ross.

She has made Cleveland her home for the past forty plus years. Edna was of the Baptist faith.

She was retired from the Duracell Corporation. Edna enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her flowers and roses.

She will be forever remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who cherished her family dearly (especially her grandchildren).

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Edd Trammell, one grandson, Jason Cope, one son in law Larry Gibson, two sisters Lucille Stanley & Betty Neal, and two brothers George Ross and the Reverend Harold Dean Ross.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters Sheila Ensley (Earnest) and Teresa Cope (Richard), four sons Wendell Trammell, Mike Trammell (Ann Trammell), of Nashville, TN, Randy Trammell of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Dennie Norman (Sonjia) , eleven grandchildren Michelle Wentworth (Robert), Larry E. "Butch" Gibson (Caryn), Adam Gibson (Amy), Caressa Ensley, Charity O'Neal, Wesley Buchanan (Joanie), Sean Trammell, Travis Trammell, Canyen Norman, Jeremy Calhoun (Emily) and Ryan Cope, nineteen great grandchildren, Dennie's father- Earl Norman, a special niece Ruth Ann Massengale, special friends Julia Saul, Elaine Dills, Charlotte "Cookie" Shugart and Debbie Earls. Edna is also survived by numerous other extended family members and a host of friends. The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga and her many caregivers for the wonderful care they extended to Edna and her family.

A celebration of her life is planned for Thursday night, May 26th, 2016 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Earnest Ensley and the Reverend Daniel Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time in the funeral home parlor.

Interment will take place on Friday, May 27th, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the D.C. Trammell cemetery in Winfield, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga in memory of Edna M. Norman. Those can be sent to Hospice of Chattanooga Foundation; 4411 Oakwood Drive; Chattanooga, TN 37416.
