Mr. Homer E. Adkins, 64, of Corsicana passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 in Corsicana. He was born on January 1, 1942 in Purdon, Texas to N.L. & Thelma Adkins.
He was employed with Brookshire's Food Store as a Courtesy Clerk for 37 years. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2006 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. B.F. Risinger, Jr. & Dr. David Kimberly officiaiting. Interment will follow in the Dresden cemetery. Pallbearers will be Freddy Thomas, Jim Carroll, Bill Gregory, Steve Putman, Rusty Skidmore, and Ken Green. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Beamon, Benny Robinson, and Ray Wossum.

He was preceded in death by his Father, N.L. Adkins, Mother, Thelma Adkins, Brother, Carl Cecil Adkins, and a Nephew, Mike Adkins.

He is survived by his Sister, Earlene Pierce of Arlington, TX., Nephews & Wives, Larry Puerce of Arlington, TX., Jerry & Vickey Pierce of Arlington, TX., Kenny Pierce of Arlington, TX., Ronald & Donna Adkins of Houston, TX., David Adkins of Dallas, TX., and a Niece & Husband, Jan & Randy Sadler of Dallas, TX., and numerous Cousins.
