RITES ARE TODAY FOR MRS. HAZEN
Funeral services for Mrs. Howard Hazen, 307 Fourth Avenue, were held today at Sellergren-Lindell Funeral Home with Rev. William T. Miller officiating and burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Hazen died Thursday, October 10, at Murphy Memorial Hospital.
She was taken to the hospital in the Fire Department Rescue Unit at 7:40 p.m. Thursday.
Gertrude Fern, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Shaw, was born May 21, 1900 in Warren County, Illinois. She had lived here all her life.
She was married in 1940 to Howard Hazen, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Violet Morgan, Heflin, Iowa; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a brother, Wilfred Shaw, Tarkio, Missouri and a sister, Mrs. Floyd Hall, Hastings, Iowa.
