Muriel Vanhorn Rhoney, 82, of Connelly Springs, went to her Heavenly Home on Sunday May 22, 2016 at Grace Hospital, Morganton, after a period of declining health.
Mrs. Rhoney was born March 22, 1934 in Burke County, a daughter of the late Rilie Pinky and Effie Fannie Cook Vanhorn. She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend to all who know her.
Surviving are her husband, Bada Ray Rhoney of the home, one son, Terry Rhoney and wife Donna of Connelly Springs, a daughter, Patsy Lail and husband Eddie of Connelly Springs and a sister, Irene Lail of Connelly Springs. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Nicole Newton, Mindy Snyder, Derrick Lail, Justin Lail , Kristin Lail Duckworth and great grandchildren, Erin Newton, Jordan Newton, Nicklous Newton, Kamryn Snyder, Kayson Snyder, Laiton Duckworth, Branson Duckworth , Baby Duckworth and a special Relative and friend from childhood, Joyce Hildebran Wright.
Funeral Services for Muriel Vanhorn Rhoney will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Connelly Springs, with Rev. Eddie Lail, Rev. Tim Dockery and Rev. Curtis Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church Connelly Springs.
