BALL, Curtis A. - Of Flint, age 84, died Monday, February 24, 1997 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 11AM Thursday, February 27, 1997 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Paul L. Amstutz officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation 1-9PM Wednesday and 8:30AM until time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Ball was born in Bay City, Michigan on December 1, 1912 and was a resident of Flint most of his life. Mr. Ball was employed by Flint Fire Department for 25 years, retiring as Captain on December 2, 1964. Surviving are son, Jerry C. Ball of Florida; step-son, Donald and wife Ruth Waldenmayer of Novi; 7 grandchildren, Cindy Spencer of Durand, Deborah Wright of Flint, Darcie Grimes of North Carolina, Don Waldenmayer of Novi, Dennis Waldenmayer of Plymouth, Susan Englehardt of California and Diane Griener of Redford; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Shirley Strochine of Holly, Jane Schwartz of Holly, Alice Ormond of Alpena and Roberta Ison of Taylor; brother, Robert Ball of Southgate. He was preceded in death by his wives, Adelaide Ball and Gladys Ball; daughter, Judith Asaro.
