He was baptized December 3, 1950 at Sacred Heart Church in Clinton, IN, graduated from Greenfield High School on May 28, 1968.
Edward was an electronics technician, a licensed Amateur Radio Operator by the United States FCC, call sign N9AWP amateur extra operator privileges. Now will be known as N9AWP/SK.
He was a member of Indiana Section of the American Radio Relay League, the National Association for Amateur Radio, Madison County Emergency Management Agency Communications, National Weather Service Certified Skywarn Storm Spotter, NAQCC-North American QRP CW Club, Charlotte County Florida Emergency Operatons Amateur Radio Operator and City of Indianapolis Department of Public Safety Emergency Planning and Civil Defense R.A.C.E.S. operator.
He is survived by three daughters Teresa Evitt of Pistol river, OR., Amanda (Dennis) Pulley of Indianapolis, Victoria Evitt of Seattle, WA., sister; Mary (Steve) Mosley, Cicero, IN., five grandsons and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; John and Tom Evitt and best friend Barbara Weber.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Greenfield Church of Christ in Greenfield, IN, with calling from 1-3 prior to the service.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Condo and son Funeral Home in Wilkinson.
