Nancy was the daughter of William and Josephine (King) Ducheny. She was a 1958 graduate of Holy Name High School. In 1962, Nancy enrolled at Northern Michigan University where she studied education, receiving her master's degree in 1967. Nancy was employed as a school teacher at Wells school in the Escanaba School District. She was a faithful member of All Saints Church and was a money counter, co-chair of the funeral committee and co-chair of the annual raffle. Additionally, she was a member of Michigan Education Association and National Education Association. Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, playing bingo, watching sports and taking trips to the casino.
Nancy was survived by: cousins, Janet Tolman and Marlene Sinnaeve; godchildren, Dennis Cole, Debbie Hamilton and Josh Plutchak; good friends, Marilyn Anglim and her children, Van, Ann, Paul and their children, and also Mary Lynn Craft and Jim Craft; special friend, Diane Micheau.
Nancy's was preceded in death by: parents, William and Josephine; a brother; and two sisters.
Visitation at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial at All Saints Church with Rev. Fr. Jamie Ziminski and Rev. Fr. Arnold Grambow officiating. Laid to rest in Fernwood Cemetery.
