Aunt Cecil had a very wonderful loving personality. Mom (Willo E. Hall) and her were sister in laws but they actually acted like they were sisters. They were very close. Aunt Cecil was a very good friend of Myrtle McSween Campbell, who was engaged to Uncle Eddie Hall. She was a real favorite of mine and took care of me when I was young and my parents were at the Wheat ranch. She always had a wonderful garden which included some cherry trees, cucumbers and many other things.
Cecil was the only child of Nathaniel and Anna Augusta (Bridge) McClure although Nathaniel and Anna raised a boy for awhile, named Tom Penfield, who was like a brother to Cecil, but in fact, he actually was the son of Anna Augustas twin sister Susannah.
I knew very well Aunt Cecil, who was Dad,s brother Alex E. Hall s wife.I personally heard her talk of her family alot, saw her large family Bible with some of her ancestors names in it and have a copy of Cecils life history which she put on tape for her sons in her own words. There was a cousin on The McClure side of the family from Ohio who did a superior job of researching the McClure side of the family and solved many confusing and difficult problems from original records. Aunt Cecil s father Nathaniel was born Jan 28, 1872, in Logan co.Ohio and he died in Scottsbluff, Nebr. The death date on his memorial is accurate. Nathaniel McClure and Anna Augusta Bridge were married in New Richland, Logan co, Ohio on Febr 5 1896.The birth and death dates on Anna Augustas memorial agree with my records.Anna was born in New Richland, Logan, Ohio and died in Scottsbluff,Nebraska. Cecil and her husband Alex Hall lived in the house that belonged to Cecils parents and this home remains in the family. Finally Nathaniel McClure was the son of Alonzo Crandall McClure and Sarah Jane Liggitt. Anna Augusta McClure was the daughter of Rheuben Bridge and Sarah Ann Brown.
