Earl Weagley Adams, 63 of 4014 N. Warner Rd., Lafayette Hills, Philadelphia, died at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Chestnut Hill Hospital.
He had been in failing health 3 1/2 years and his condition had been critical the past year.
He was born at Marion, the son of William E. and Nettie L. (Swope) Adams. His early life was lived in Waynesboro and was employed at the Landis Tool Co. and later assisted his father who was a tax collector. Since 1927 he resided in Philadelphia.
Mr. Adams was employed at Bendix Aviation and was last employed by the City of Philadelphia in the traffic division.
He was a memberof the Messiah Methodist Church, Lafayette Hills, and Lewis Wagner Lodge, F. and A. M., Philadelphia.
Surviving are his widow, JuliaHarnish Adams; two daughters, Mrs. William Sandel, Chestnut Hill, and Mrs. Richard Shook, Damascus, Md.; three grandchildren, and one brother, Chester E. Adams, Wayensboro.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Victor H. Jones. Burial will be made in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 12 noon to the hour of service.
The family requests that flowers be omitted.
