Mrs Joanna Ingwersen, a resident of Davenport since 1913, died at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Leinbaugh, 1418 Arlington Avenue, at 12:15 a.m. today. She was 94 years old.
She was born Dec. 12, 1841, in Germany and received her education there, coming to America, directly to Clinton in 1866, where was married to Peter C Ingwersen in 1867. Later the couple engaged in farming near Oxford Junction, coming to Davenport in 1913. Her Husband preceded her in death on Nov 3, 1933. She was a member of the Lutheran faith.
Surviving are one son, Herman J Ingwersen , of Sioux Falls S.D.and one daughter Mrs. C. E. Leinbaugh of Davenport; three grandchildren are also surviving.
The body was removed to the Hill & Fredericks mortuary, where funeral services will be held at10:30 a.m. Sunday. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery.
