Marguerite was born on April 13, 1920 in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Elmer and Grace (Baughman) Ferre. She married J. Arthur Brown on July 1, 1938 in Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, James Dale; sisters, Dorothy Phares and Doris Reed and her son-in-law, Stan Cook.
Marguerite leaves her daughter, Brenda Cook; one grandson; one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
As a hairdresser, she owned and operated Marguerite’s Beauty Salon in Blue Mound for over 40 years. She was a member of Blue Mound United Methodist Church and a 50+year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 327 Blue Mound.
