Mrs. Russ was born in Pink Hill, N.C., and was the widow of Raymond D. Russ. She was retired from Leggett Department Store.
Survivors include three daughters, Jackie Branyan, Kathy Blowe and Sandy Hill, all of Virginia Beach; a sister, Nell Jarman of Pink Hill; a brother, Leland E. Smith of Pink Hill; six grandchildren, Serece, Anitra, Dustin, Garrett, Amy and Devon; and a great-grandchild, Kari.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, 601 Children's Lane, Norfolk, Va. 23507.
